OK nice, now for the next step. Do you have the ability to create a Windows 7 based Windows PE boot disk, and then run the same program, same command, from that boot disk?

If not, can you let me know what bitness of operating system you have? I will try to create and upload something for you.

That is great you were able to create your own Windows PE.

However it is crucial that the version of Windows PE be at most Windows 7, or maybe up to Windows 8.1 without Update 1.

Do you have the chance to retry with that version of Windows PE? That would be great.

Yes, it was Windows 8.1 Update 1, because you received the same error. We need to revert to an older Windows PE, this will help us obtain the raw data which is causing the error; unfortunately we cannot access that raw data on Windows 8.1 Update 1 because it is already being processed by the WoF (Windows Overlay Filter) driver being used for compression.

I will try to put together a Windows 8 x86 PE for you now and upload it, so you can revert to your working image.

Thanks very much for your help with this Grigoris!

I followed them and am currently uploading:

www.zipmagic.co/winpe.7zip

Upload ETA is about 33 minutes as of the time of this posting.

Should be done by the time you're reading this, in other words :)

Please go ahead and boot off of this 32 bit PE and run the same wimlib command. Then when you send the output WIM file, we should be able to resolve the issue.

Ah of course, then we will need to set you up with a Windows 8.x pre-Update 1 PE. I will confirm with the WIMLIB developer and try to put that together for you as soon as possible.
